Dublin Airport has been an invaluable source of connector registrations for ConnectIreland.
Since coming on board with the initiative in June 2013, Dublin Airport quickly became the number one site for registrations.
ConnectIreland now has a network of over 52,000 connectors. At present, over 70% of all registrations come through the airport, T1 and T2.
However all of our connectors have, in some shape or form, been touched by our presence in the airport and would regularly remark that they have seen our team or our material as they travelled through on business or leisure.
Of the connectors registered through the airport, over 530 companies have been introduced. More than 130 of these companies are in advanced dialogue with ConnectIreland with regards to establishing a business base in Ireland. To date, DAA has been responsible for helping to create hundreds of jobs with the potential to create thousands more.
Paul O’Kane is a communications professional with 24 years’ experience in national newspapers/corporate communications. As Chief Communications Officer at DAA, he is responsible for all external and internal communications. He also manages and leads Dublin Airport’s award-winning social media activities.
An expert in areas such as strategic communications, media relations, internal communications, corporate writing, and crisis communications, he also served as Chairman of ACI Europe’s Digital Communications Forum from 2013-2015.
